How about using pure water coupled with 2 parts whole lemon to one part whole orange and adding just a small trace of sugar (one teaspoon per 16 ozs).

For instance, cut one orange in half, and two lemons in half.........squeeze the juice out of them and then throw the peel and everything remaining into a shake-up bottle adding the trace of sugar and shake.

Serve over ice.

Not homemade, but Crystal Light has a damn good lemonade that has 5 calories per serving and costs about a quarter to make a 2 quart batch...
Make a batch and reuse a bottled water bottle to take it on the go.

For any homemade recipes use Splenda instead of sugar, I can't taste the difference and it has almost zero calories.

And what do you think the benefits of drinking sugar/calorie laden Coke versus sugar/calorie laden lemondade are? I help you out - NONE - there is nothing healthy about lemondade - drink crystal light lemonade or some form of sugar free lemondate of ice tea or diet soda.

The best way to drink it is with some Vodka, preferably on a hot day by some source of water. Taste good to me :thumbsup2:

seymour - not having drank lemonade previously and not having seen the various mixes - naturally thought it would be healthier

proved wrong and was looking for a simple recipe from an alternate source

diet soda nope - will try some natural alternative

TRY CRYSTAL LIGHT LEMONADE! VERY FEW CALORIES AND IT IS DAMN GOOD :thumbsup2:

I too hate Diet Soda of every kind. But Light Lemonade, whether Crystal Light, Minute Maid Lite, or some other brand, is good. You can't tell the difference.

Nothing quite hits the spot like a double lemonade-vodka at a pool bar in Cancun (at 9:30 am).

Double :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2:
